At the outset I give my cordial thanks to merciful God, for bestowing on man the faculty and capacity to do noble and useful work satisfactorily. My Small Bouquet" is nothing but the collection and compilation of my selected articles, short biographies and travelogues published from time to time in magazines, journals and newspapers. As a good book is the life-blood ofits author, so a good article is the result of deep thinking, mature deliberaion and persistent endeavours of its writer. Most of the articles included in this book will hold good for the hour but some of them may hold good for all time. Ihave tried my level best to enlighten my readers on a few topics relating to men, events and places. I hope that this small and humble piece of work would prove useful to my readers and especially to those students who are seekers of knowledge and interested in learning, as they know how far the monuments of wit and learning are more durable than the monuments of power or of the hands".
